Muscular dystrophy is a group of neuromuscular disorders that weaken muscles, and relapse over time. These genetic disorders can be passed on from generation to generation, or spontaneously occur within individuals; regardless of a person's age. There are many types of muscular dystrophy that affect thousands of people around the world.
Overtime, people with neuromuscular disorders may lose their ability to walk, to speak and ultimately breathe. So far, no cure has been found. Yet, there are still those who are not aware of this terminal disease. To address this problem, we have organized many awareness campaigns to educate members within our community and others around the world about muscular dystrophy. In addition to this, we are holding a used item drive within our local community centre and asking for donations to fund money towards research for the cure.
However, we need your help raising awareness. Please, spread the message.
